Awalim Dance Company - Hearing

Revival Show in Banja Luka, BiH 09.11.2018.god - Dječije Pozorište Choreography by Tanja Bojić - fan veils. Music: Sleeping at last - Hearing Neke bitke su bitke duše. Borba sa sopstvenim demonima. Borba protiv samog sebe... One common goal initiated its launch – the wish to portray oriental dance in all its facets and beauty to audiences within the Balkan region and in other countries. Aleksandra Tešanović, the Awalim teacher and choreographer, along with its other dancers, have made it their mission to present oriental dance as an artistically exceptional and challenging dance format, and to bring the oriental dance scene in the Balkans to a higher level - hence the company name “Awalim”. The one thing that all participants of this project have in common is their love for oriental dance, closely followed by their wish to constantly improve themselves and to persist on their path of making their dreams come true. All company members add a special value to Awalim with their energy, hard work and dedication, making it a company of fundamentally different women who support each other, progress constantly and are working towards becoming better versions of themselves in all areas. Our performances aim to enrich the cultural variety of our towns by raising the popularity of oriental dance and help build cultural bridges between the countries of the Middle East and Europe.
