Rover 75 V8 Tourer Road trip pt2 #rover #rover75
We join the Rover 75 & MG ZT owners club National Meet. We also meet some special MG Rover guests. This was the main purpose for our road trip and on day 3 we travel to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon ,Warwickshire to meet with fellow enthusiasts. Later in the day we got to meet our special guests, those who worked for MG Rover those involved with getting the Rover 75 into production. The guests included Mike Kinnear (Rover 75 programme planner) Peter Morgan (project director) David Waide (chief engineer) Dennis Chick(Rover product communications director) Richard Wooley (designer) Dr Ian Pogson (V8 auto project) Mike Humble (motoring journalist) We had a 2 hour talk where we learnt more about the history and how it came to be and we could ask questions throughout. At the end we had the opportunity to speak with them on a one to one basis. Many thanks to Rob(Trebor) for some of the pictures used. The appropriate pictures have a credit on them. The video is longer than usual but i felt it better to show it in its entirety. At least you can pick out the bits you want. Unfortunately there is some wind noise which i have tried to minimise and i didn't want to put music over the video as you get to hear comments as we walk around.
