This journey combines peaceful forests, scenic ridges, mountain landscapes, and natural reservoirs, making it a perfect escape for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Starting from Lalitpur-12, Nabahal (Approx. 1,300m elevation), the journey heads toward Jarsing Pauwa, located at approximately 1,900 meters above sea level. Surrounded by green hills and traditional villages, this area offers breathtaking views and fresh mountain air. The hike continues through Jhule and the scenic forest trails of Shivapuri National Park. Dense pine forests, natural springs, wildlife, and peaceful walking paths create a memorable trekking experience. The route then reaches Dhap Dam, a beautiful reservoir situated at approximately 1,900–2,000 meters above sea level. From Dhap Dam, the trail descends toward Sundarijal, the gateway to Shivapuri National Park and one of Kathmandu’s major water sources. The descent offers spectacular valley views, waterfalls, stone steps, and lush forest scenery. The total travel distance from Lalitpur is approximately 50–65 KM, while the hiking distance ranges between 18–22 KM depending on the selected route. The highest elevation reached during the hike is approximately 2,000 meters with an elevation gain of around 700–900 meters.
