Kishore Kumar found a unique method to solve his tax problem with the Indian government's income tax department. This resulted in Income Tax department sending notices to Kishore Kumar to pay extra tax which Kishoreda never understood why. Kishore Kumar got so fed up by regular letters from the tax department that he decided to go back to his hometown Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh. Kishore Kumar's secretary Anoop Sharma suggested an alternative plan to save tax including making a flop Bengali film called Lukochuri (1958) and Kishore Kumar happily agreed.
