A3 NEWS Venice 02/02/2026 - TESSERA - After the Palazzetto dello Sport, the stadium in Tessera is also starting to take shape. Mayor Luigi Brugnaro visited the construction site of the arena, which is expected to be completed in spring 2027. From the Mestre ring road junction with Marco Polo Airport, the Palazzetto dello Sport already appears close to its final form—construction work is scheduled for completion this year—and the necessary work to ensure traffic flow in and out is progressing rapidly. But next to the arena—not yet visible from the road—the stadium is also starting to take shape, and Mayor Luigi Brugnaro visited the site. The foundation stone for the stadium was laid in October last year. Work is expected to be completed in spring next year. The system would therefore be ready for use for the 2027/2028 season.
