Tauber-Altmühl-Radweg | Teil 7 | Beilngries - Kloster Weltenburg

We're cycling the Tauber-Altmühl Cycle Path, but not just the two of us – we're a group of four: our friends Sabine and Lars from Berlin. Those who joined us on our cycling trip across Germany from Brüggen to Berlin in July 2021 will remember us. They gave us a spectacular welcome right in the heart of Berlin. We cycled the Tauber Cycle Path in two stages. We've planned another five stages for the subsequent Altmühl Cycle Path. Together, these two routes form the Tauber-Altmühl Cycle Path. In this video, we'll show you the seventh and final stage, from Beilngries to Weltenburg Abbey. After breakfast on the banks of the Altmühl River in bright sunshine, we set off through the colorfully decorated town of Beilngries. In Dietfurt, we learn why the Emperor of Bavarian China reigns there during Carnival. In Riedenburg, we follow in the footsteps of the last King of Bavaria. Behind the wooden Tatzlwurm (a mythical creature), we discover and enjoy the picturesque village of Essing. We finally reach the impressive and almost heavenly Weltenburg Abbey, albeit with some difficulty.
