IN THIS UPDATE 🪙 For the first time since Congress enacted the Federal Civil Penalties Adjustments Act Improvements Act of 2015, the maximum (and minimum) civil penalty amounts for violating Federal regulations—including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations—will NOT increase to match inflation in 2026. 🚧 EPA proposed revising the definition of "begin actual construction" under the Clean Air Act NSR preconstruction permit program, to allow the building of some non-pollution emitting structures before a permit is obtained. 🧪📅 EPA released 2 FINAL RULES to extend upcoming deadlines for chemical manufacturers (including importers) and workplaces that use trichloroethylene (TCE) in certain ways under TSCA.
