My wife wanted to learn how to find kokanee salmon, so in this video we switched things up and took turns in the captain seat of our kayak! As a complete beginner, she learned the basics of locating kokanee, reading the water, and making decisions on where to fish. After putting in some serious work on the pedals, fatigue eventually set in and her legs gave out, so I jumped back into the captain seat to finish the challenge. The hard work paid off! Together, we managed to bring home 6 beautiful kokanee salmon and ended the day the best way possible—turning our fresh catch into homemade gravlax served on toasted bagels with cream cheese, avocado, and all the fixings.
