Today was once again full of small joys. Quite by chance, we found the perfect shower for our future bathroom at a hardware store. We hadn't planned on buying it, but we couldn't resist. It was brass, French-made, and exactly the style we'd been searching for. While our renovation dreams loom ever closer, life at the villa continues as usual. The chickens are strolling around the garden, delighting me with their cheerful mood and fresh eggs. And it's time to take care of the grapes. I washed the protective bags that we'll soon be putting back on the bunches. Unfortunately, the grapes have developed a slight mildew, and the intense heat has also taken its toll. My husband treated the vines with a biological product he uses at work, and now we hope to save the harvest. And, of course, as always, we're ending the day with a delicious home-cooked dinner.
