At the age of 9, she was bullied as a result of her weight. Because of this, she had an eating disorder, bulimia, which marked by binging, followed by methods to avoid weight gain including vomiting and purging. Shannon Seeley continued this lifestyle until she reached her lowest point when she was a senior in high school in 2014. It was at this time that she decided to take up bodybuilding. The bodybuilder got admitted into a college on scholarship thanks to her running ability. Because she was eating poorly, her body found it hard to keep up with athletics and she later broke her leg in a gym class. Shannon decided to take up weight lifting in order to get stronger. Before too long, Shannon’s body was changing and someone advised her to go into a bodybuilding competition. She won the first show she took part in, in 2014. She also won the show in 2015 and 2017. At the moment she has 6 National NPC WPD to her name. She has been working with Bill Tocco as her trainer for more than five years.
