House Greyjoy are the Lords of the Iron Islands, with its seat at pyke. The Iron Islands are bleak and hardy islands just off the westerlands. Many other great houses consider These islands to be an annoyance, but they do have great power. House Greyjoy are masters of the seas, with one of the largest fleets in Westeros. Ramin Djawadi gives the Greyjoys a remorseful motif, it is almost regal sounding. Given how connected the Ironborn are to their home, it would explain why their themes sound so earthly and grounded. Djawadi also gives House Greyjoy a rocking and wavy Ostinatos. This is here to reflect the sea, the movement of the water which surrounds their home. You hear it used to full effect in action iterations of the theme, where the Greyjoys are forced to fight and mobilise, how the sweeping Ostinatos is usually the first thing to be heard, how they use the water to their advantage.
