Fixing a Fried VP-1000 LaserDisc Player
Powered on my grandpa's old VP-1000 and it made a pop and a sizzle. I found the blown capacitors and replaced them. They appeared to be in the power supply, six 450v 10uf and three 450v 1uf. Now it's working again, but the color is very desaturated. If anyone has an idea why, please let me know. Link to schematic of capacitors replaced: https://www.repairfaq.org/sam/lphl2sc...
