LIBU - The First Amazigh Warriors | Lybian Berber Metal | Black Legion

🇬🇧 The Libu (Libou) were among the earliest Amazigh tribes recorded in history. Mentioned in Egyptian inscriptions as early as the 13th century BC, they inhabited the lands west of the Nile Delta, across what is now eastern Libya. Fierce desert warriors, skilled hunters and proud clan leaders, the Libu defended their homeland against the expansion of the New Kingdom of Egypt during the reigns of Merneptah and Ramesses III. Their name would eventually give rise to the word Libya, preserving the memory of one of North Africa's oldest recorded peoples. LIBU is an epic Lybian Berber Metal anthem blending crushing metal with authentic Amazigh sounds: bendir, tbel, gasba, zokra, mizwad, gimbri, qarqaba, bronze war horns, traditional Amazigh melismatic vocals, tribal choirs and ritual female youyous, recreating the spirit of the first recorded Berber warriors. 🇫🇷 Les Libou (Libu) comptent parmi les plus anciens peuples amazighs mentionnés dans les sources historiques. Connus grâce aux inscriptions égyptiennes dès le XIIIᵉ siècle av. J.-C., ils vivaient à l'ouest du delta du Nil, sur le territoire de l'actuelle Libye orientale. Guerriers du désert, chasseurs et chefs de clans, ils résistèrent à l'expansion du Nouvel Empire égyptien sous les règnes de Mérenptah et de Ramsès III.
