Social worker Ibrahim Maulana organised a mass Muslim marriage ceremony for 15 financially underprivileged couples in Fatorda on Wednesday, claiming it to be the first such initiative in Goa. The programme included financial assistance, gold ornaments, clothing, and other support for the newlyweds. Maulana expressed his intention to continue the initiative in the future.
