With our baby's due date now only days away, every remaining job suddenly feels urgent. But what starts as one final push before becoming parents quickly turns into one of the most extraordinary weeks of the entire renovation. Hidden behind decades of brick, cement and rubble, we uncover the original heart of our home. Ancient stone walls, centuries-old lime plaster, forgotten artefacts and one incredible discovery after another remind us exactly why we fell in love with this old house in the first place.
