¿como hacer kirigami paso a paso? Descubre cómo aprender a plegar papel paso a paso

Hello everyone and welcome to uma manualidades. Today we're going to do the second part on kirigami. Remember that a few days ago we learned what kirigami is and its history? Today's video is part of our series on the crafts encyclopedia. We're going to learn the basic materials we need to get started in this art and the techniques necessary to master it. To practice authentic kirigami, you only need real scissors and colored paper, but you can also use a box cutter or scalpel, a pencil, templates, and a cutting mat, especially if you're making more complex shapes. In this tutorial, we'll learn the five most common folds in the art of kirigami. First, we'll start with the two-fold method. This simply involves using a sheet of paper and folding it in half. We'll make our cut where we made the crease, and we'll achieve symmetry when we unfold the paper. If we use colored paper, we'll achieve a more beautiful look for our designs, although we could also do it with white paper. This would be the most basic fold, but we can take it a step further by making a four-sided fold. To do this, we'll fold a square into four parts, keeping in mind the center of the fold. We'll make our drawing in that corner. I recommend starting with simple patterns and practicing, then gradually progressing to more complicated projects. For example, I'll leave a video here with a very simple tutorial that we can start practicing with. When starting out with this technique, it's advisable not to try to follow a specific pattern, but rather to have fun experimenting and discovering original shapes through paper cutting. Later on, for slightly more complex projects, we can incorporate blades and a good cutting board, as well as more elaborate papers with patterns or different thicknesses depending on the project we want to make. At this stage, templates will be a useful element for more complex creations and will allow us to create authentic kirigami works of art. If we want to make a figure-eight fold, we'll do the same as the figure-four fold, but we'll create a triangle afterward. In the example, we'll make one shape and replicate it 8 times. A more complex shape is the 16-fold fold. It's the same technique we use to make tissue paper flowers. I'll leave the link here. You just need to make one more fold. Here, I'll make a point, and notice how it turns out like a 16-pointed star. And finally, we have the accordion fold. It's ideal for making garlands. For this, I recommend using slightly larger paper than the previous ones and making a zigzag. When creating the design, we'll focus on the ends. For example, to make a heart, we'll make half of the heart at one end and the other half at the other end, but it's important that they touch so that when we open the accordion, everything is joined together. And that's it for today's tutorial. I hope you liked it! With this, you have the basic technique for practicing kirigami. I'll leave you with a couple of more advanced kirigami tutorials at the end of the video. Remember you can follow me on social media. See you in the next video with many more ideas. Bye!
