Driving in Germany: Autobahn A3 E35 from Duisburg to Köln (Cologne)

#Ruhrgebiet #Autobahn #VRTLtravel In this video you can drive along on the A3 'Ruhrautobahn' (as I like to call it) from Duisburg to Köln. Cutting straight through one of Europe's largest urban areas, the Ruhrgebiet, this is one of the busiest Autobahn's in all of Germany. In this video in particular we pass 7 intersections with other Autobahns over a distance of just 50 kilometers! I tried something new in outlining the intersections on the travel map in the beginning of the video, let me know if that is an improvement for you as it takes quite some time to create ;) Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great and there were a couple of odd moments of people fully stopped in the middle of the Autobahn (car broken down?). All in all a typical rainy drive on the A3 I would say, it can get quite hectic, even on a Sunday. The A3 Autobahn runs from the Dutch border in the West of Germany, all the way to the border with Austria in the Southeast at Passau. Some big cities on the A3 apart from the ones in the Ruhr area are Frankfurt am Main, Aschaffenburg, Würzburg, Nürnberg and Regensburg. Some cities we pass in this video: Duisburg - 500.000 Pop.
