Early 20th century neighbourhood in Gouda by bike

In this video I will be giving a tour through one of the early 20th century neigbourhouds. of Gouda. This one is called the Kadebuurt. Most of the buildings were build between 1910 and 1940. One of the reasons for this video is the fact that most of the streets here are end of life. Later this year work will start on revamping the streets and its layout. I am personally hoping for more space for greenery, pedestrians and cyclists. As you can see in the video is that there are a lot of car parking spaces completely domminating the streets that were clearly never designed to accomedate so many cars. 00:00 intro 00:08 We start just outside of the Kadebuurt in one of my favorite parks in the city. The van Bergen IJzendoorn park. 01:15 We arrive at the main train station of Gouda 02:27 We now enter the kadebuurt 06:24 Here starts the Karnemeldsloot a nice quiet and green street, a large part of which is car free. 09:40 On the right you can see the Goudse Schouwburg. The theater of Gouda. 11:18 On the right there is a recently created park. There is not allot of green space in this neighbourhood so places like these are very much needed 13:04 I noticed I took a wrong turn 18:08 Here a more recently build part of this Neighbourhood. Developed in 1996. 19:02 We are quite close to the train tracks here. Notice the bright yellow train passing by?
