We Tested the VIP Dubai Desert Safari Package So You Don't Have To

A Dubai desert safari is one of those experiences that really does live up to the hype, especially when you do it as a family. In this video, we take the boys on a full Dubai desert safari with Noble Adventures, and from the moment we were picked up from our house, it felt like one of those days you know you are going to remember. We headed out towards the red dunes of Lahbab, stopping on the way for water and a short break, before getting straight into the desert activities. First up was dune bashing, proper hold on tight stuff, followed by sandboarding down the dunes which the boys absolutely loved. We also made a very last minute decision to add on a dune buggy experience. This was not included in our original booking and was offered as an optional extra on the day. We hired a four seater buggy, negotiated the price once we realised we would need two, and it ended up being one of the most chaotic and fun parts of the entire Dubai desert safari. Even with a breakdown and a replacement buggy arriving, it was 100 percent worth it. After all of that, the boys fell asleep in the car on the way to the camp, which tells you everything. Noble Desert Camp and the evening experience We arrived at Noble Desert Camp just before sunset. Compared to many Dubai desert safari camps, this one feels noticeably more polished, with space to explore, things for kids to do, and a layout that does not feel rushed or cramped. We booked the VIP Gold package, which gave us reserved seating close to the stage, a set menu brought to the table, and access to the buffet. The food was genuinely better than expected, well paced, and easy with children. Unlimited soft drinks and water were included, which makes a big difference on a long desert safari day. The evening show runs throughout dinner and afterwards, with live music, traditional dancing and a fire show. It felt more like a proper production than a standard desert safari camp performance, and the kids stayed engaged far longer than we expected. Key things we learned from doing a Dubai desert safari as a family • This works really well with kids From camel rides and sandboarding to the camp layout and pacing of the evening, it felt genuinely family friendly rather than just tolerant of children. • Optional extras can be worth it The dune buggies were not planned and were an extra cost, but ended up being one of the highlights. If you have older kids or adventurous adults, it is worth considering on the day. • VIP seating is worth it if you can stretch Being closer to the stage, having table service, and not needing to queue with tired kids made the evening far more relaxed. • It is a full day, not just an evening Between pickup, desert activities, dinner and the show, this is a long but very full Dubai desert safari experience. Expect tired kids on the drive home. • Not the cheapest, but very smooth This is not a budget Dubai desert safari. What you are paying for is organisation, food quality, entertainment and a setup that feels considered. What is typically included on a Dubai desert safari with Noble Adventures • Hotel or home pickup and drop off in a 4x4 • Dune bashing in the red dunes of Lahbab • Sandboarding • Short camel ride • Water and soft drinks • Evening camp access • Dinner and live entertainment Optional extras like quad bikes or dune buggies are paid separately on the day. Is a Dubai desert safari worth doing If you are visiting Dubai for the first time, this is an easy yes. If you live here and have friends or family visiting, a Dubai desert safari is a brilliant way to show them a completely different side of the city in one day. It is not trying to be the cheapest option. It is trying to be one of the better produced Dubai desert safari experiences, and in our experience, it delivers on that. Hopefully this video gives you a realistic feel for what the day actually looks like, from pickup at home to sand, sunset, dinner, shows and a very quiet drive home.
