Making Muscadine Juice for Jelly🍇💜
Wash your muscadines in cold water thoroughly and place in a pot. just cover with water and bring to a boil. Mash the berries with a potato masher if you have one to help break open the berries and release their juice. Cover with a lid and let steep and cool completely. I usually let mine cool overnight. then strain through cheese cloth into a freezer container and freeze up to 6 months. Let thaw before making Jelly. I do this when I have berries ready but no time to make Jelly. Now I can make Jelly when I have the time.
