What's Up, Anglers!?! This was it—the last day of the Eastern Sierra trout season for Trout Made Angler Co., and Rock Creek Lake showed out in a BIG way. Fishing in freezing temps with snow surrounding the lake, we spent the day chasing quality rainbow trout with my brother Nick and Mike The BeardedTroutsman. From ultralight spinning gear to the fly rod, we put together one of our most complete days of the season. it was EPIC! The fish were active deep and cruising the weedy drop-offs, and they were keyed in on everything from: Mini jigs, Spoons, Minnows, Hand-tied jigs and leech pattern flies.
