MGS5 EV First drive review: Is this the best EV for under £30k?

MG has had the market for budget electric cars pretty much sewn up in the UK for years, having introduced the ZS EV back in 2019. While the electric ZS was a pretty big hit for MG – particularly in Britain – things have moved on a bit in the last 6 years. And now, it's time for the ZS EV to head into retirement too. So here's its replacement: the MGS5 EV (not the MG S5 EV, or MGS 5 EV, for some reason). Instead of sharing a body and platform with the petrol and hybrid MG ZS, the S5 gets totally separate, EV-specific underpinnings borrowed from the MG 4.
