The Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Avatar of the Age marked one of the significant milestones in His Life and ever expanding glory. With a mammoth crowd of 250,000 devotees, the like of which had never been seen before in the celestial valley, the 50th birthday celebrations of our Lord became a 10 day Brahmotsavam, a festival of Divine bliss and ecstasy. Historic moments such as the first Rathotsavam and the inauguration of the Sarva Dharma Aikya Stupa made this birthday festival one to remember for generations to come. This short documentary shows glimpses of that grand week, including interviews by devotees such as Dr. S Bhagavantham and Mr. John Hislop. We see Swami arriving in a special helicopter on the morning of His birthday, officiating the 3rd World Conference of SSSIO, presiding over the Purushottama Yagna, inaugurating the Sarva Dharma Stupa, and swinging on the Jhoola on the final evening. Fleeting glimpses, no doubt, but each image gets imprinted in the heart of every devotee for a lifetime.
