Interview w SKYDIO CEO Adam Bry

I had the awesome opportunity to sit down and ask some of your questions from last weeks community post to Skydio CEO Adam Bry. We only had a 10 minute window originally but he was kind enough to sit down for over 20 and talk drones with us. Adam is a great guy and the whole team at Skydio is doing amazing things. I can't wait to see what the future brings for this company! Here are the questions we asked, roughly edited. There were a few things that he was unable to answer that we had to cut out. Bert Schoofs Q: Is it or will it become possible to change the Beacon settings by means of the controller, for instance from follow to orbit? Purpose: tracking a slow flying object that contains the beacon. Eric Crawford Q: When will Dronedeploy be available for the Skydio 2? 2. What isn't available on the software side at release that will be in the future? 3. Will we be able to record the point cloud that the drone uses for obstacle avoidance and mix that into videos? Rafal Galinski Q: What about EU shipping and CE ? What about optimizing the production? Glen M. Danielsen Q: Are ND filters planned for the Skydio 2? Nathan Stowell Q: Yeah would love to know if they are planning to open up the drone's SDK for 3rd party developers like they did with the R1. Would really appreciate if you could ask if they are planning to add more video and photo modes. The ones I am thinking of are time lapse, panoramic photo mode, 360 photo mode. BlackBobMatters Q: What’s up with night flying I feel like I have yet to see any night time flights. Do the cameras not work at all or not as well at night? Airwolf Q: Confirm the following or elaborate on: there is supposedly a "pro kit" that will unlock a lot of features. r0bv123 Q: I think I asked earlier on your other video, but can they add the feature on the beacon for an audible or vibrating feature for low battery? I would have the beacon in my pocket or attached to the backpack and wouldn't know it was low while riding due to wind/ambient noise. Also would love to know what the use case scenarios are for night flights if you haven't done that yet?? Thanks!! David Flusin Q: How would it handle the combination of relatively high winds 15 kts, ideally 25kts , fast moving target and flight over water possibly having to fly back to the beach on its own , against the wind when the battery reaches a certain level.
