Shocking first impressions of Singapore! Arriving in Singapore for the first time

Today we are traveling to Singapore from the Philippines! Although we are sad to be leaving Philippines, we are so excited to share our first impressions of Singapore with you! We have always been interested in visiting this ultra-modern city-state because we have heard so many things about visiting Singapore. Our travel day to Singapore begins in Cebu, Philippines, and is a quick single flight directly to Changi Airport. Singapore's airport is considered the best in the world by many people and organizations, and we are finally getting to see it for ourselves! After a quick stop to get sim cards and exchange money, we had the chance to finally see the famous Jewel at Changi airport which was a small-bucket list items for us. Our first impressions of Singapore started off more positive than we could have possibly hoped! After some good luck boarding the train from the airport, we were quickly mesmerized by the diversity of the people in Singapore, as well as how ultra-modern it is! And the feeling of safety! Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world, and we could feel that as soon as we disembarked from the train and arrived into downtown Singapore, even though it was midnight! We were lucky to be traveling to Singapore from the Philippines because the route is very simple and is traveled by many people every day. Singapore is a great vacation spot, and we have learned that many Filipinos travel to Singapore for holidays. Even though the flight isn't long, the experience is very different! Our first impressions of Singapore were more positive than we could have hoped. I think the only trouble we will have while we are here is the price of being here! Singapore is not a budget-friendly destination, often being referred to as the most expensive country in the world, and we can't wait to see if the price tag is worth it during out visit to Singapore.
