Bosch Purion Display User Guide. Here's a complete user guide for your Bosch Purion e-bike display. Here's how to use it, adjust it, and reset it. How does the Bosch Purion display work? This display is the entry-level model in the Bosch range. It's used on a wide variety of e-bikes, such as this Mondraker Prime 29 e-MTB. Let's see how to use this Bosch display on a daily basis. What ride information is displayed, and how do you adjust the settings correctly? Let's get started with the Bosch Purion display user guide. First, you have four buttons on this Bosch Purion display. One button at the top to turn your electric assist system on or off. Then, a button at the bottom for walk assist mode. And finally, on the left, a plus and a minus button. We'll turn on the Bosch Purion display by pressing the top button like this. The motor is now powered on. Next, the screen displays your current speed, the selected electric assist mode or level, and the bike's battery charge. Using the buttons on the left, you can change the assist mode or level as follows: First, there's "Off," which provides no electric assist. Then there's "Eco" mode, followed by "Tour" mode, then "Automatic EMTB" mode, and finally "Turbo" mode for maximum power. The button below this button activates the walk assist mode. Once walk assist is activated, you have three seconds to press the "+" button to engage the assistance. After three seconds, the walk assist will no longer be available. Walk assist will not activate if the mode is currently "Off." You must have an assist mode selected. If the mode is "Off," pressing the button below will not do anything. Walk assist mode does not activate automatically. If you are in eco mode, for example, press the button below, and walk assist mode will automatically appear for 3 seconds. Press the walk button, then press and hold the plus button. The rear wheel will begin to rotate on its own. The motor rotates the rear wheel to help you push the bike, for example, on a steep or difficult incline. How do I turn off walk assist mode? Walk assist mode automatically turns off if one of these three events occurs. First, if you release the plus button. Second, if the wheels lock, i.e., if you brake or if your bike encounters an obstacle. Finally, if your speed exceeds 6.5 km/h, walk assist also turns off automatically. You can access additional information on your Bosch Purion display. First, a long press on the minus button switches to trip mode, displaying the distance traveled on your ride or route. This shows the number of kilometers covered since the last reset of the odometer. Next, another long press switches to total mode, which displays the total distance traveled by the e-bike. A further long press on the minus button switches to range mode, which shows the remaining range based on the selected mode or assistance level. For example, in eco mode, the remaining range is 118 km. In tour mode, it's 94 km. In eMTB mode, you can travel 66 km. And in turbo mode, it's 57 km. When in range mode, a further long press on the minus button returns you to the standard operating mode of your motor, displaying the selected assistance level. To reset your trip odometer, you must be in trip mode. Press the plus and minus buttons simultaneously. You will see "reset" appear, and the trip odometer will reset. The odometer for your ride or route will also reset. One last feature of this Bosch Purion display: If you press and hold the plus button, you can turn your e-bike's lights on or off. A small headlight icon will appear on the screen. You can then turn your bike's lights on or off.
