Dying Mall Christmas Walk-Through - Madison Square in Huntsville - 2015

This is a walk though the now-demolished Madison Square Mall a few days before Christmas 2015. This was the last Christmas where the mall still had numerous stores open, although it had been in a decline for years. The mall had not yet closed by the end of 2016, but by then all that was left outside of Sears and J.C. Penney were a couple of sneaker shops, a hair salon and a sometimes-open jewelry shop. The mall finally closed completely in early 2017 and demolition quickly commenced. The mall opened in 1984. Sorry about having to add music to cover the audio for a few minutes, but Martina McBride belting out Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas on the muzak triggered YouTube's copyright monitoring and had to be masked.
