I spent an entire day trying to keep up with three riders who, in recent races, had been among the top finishers in their categories. At first, any small mistake was enough for them to disappear ahead of me. A wrong gear, a slip, or a poorly chosen line made me lose a lot of time and expend even more energy trying to catch up with the group again. But, throughout the day, a question lingered in my mind: Is riding with better riders really the cheapest way to improve in Hard Enduro?
