In the presence of the General Commissioner for the Honors of the Fallen, General Gualtiero Mario De Cicco, demolition work on the former NATO base in the area of ​​the Cima Grappa memorial began. The goal is to restore the mountain to a proud and pristine appearance. Initially scheduled for early 2022, the demolition work has been accelerated thanks in part to the intervention of the Veneto Region. This spring, the demolition area will be covered with soil, plants, and trees to restore its original appearance.
