Collecting Truth Social Posts To Open A Strait… No I'm Serious
Somebody installed a free arcade game on the National Mall that lets you play through a mock Iran war by stockpiling oil barrels and collecting social media posts — and yes, that sentence is real. The mission briefings come from a rotating cast of cabinet officials, the explosions are fully pixelated, and the Strait of Hormuz will not open itself. What starts as a curiosity quickly becomes one of the strangest gaming experiences possible, somewhere between protest art and fever dream. It's labeled a joke, which makes it funnier that the deeper you play, the less sure you are.
