Where Do Your Lessons come From?

How does an experienced Feldenkrais teacher plan the ATM lessons they teach, and refine their teaching? What are the long and short arcs of prep and development? What I've come to trust in my own teaching doesn't only come from studying ATMs. It comes from time spent in several other sources — anatomy, music, the ATM repertoire itself, and my own stance on language, truth, and the choices a teacher can make in the service of the students' learning. On April 22, FF member Judi Trost and I took this live in a 90-minute conversation that is part trade secrets, part craft talk, part argument about what we inherit versus what we have to build ourselves. Whether you teach, take, or just practice what you've learned, the question, "where do your lessons come from?" is worth sitting with. Post your own questions (and post them below) and we'll compare notes.
