I Added Malawi Hawks to My Peacock & Hap Tank… Was This a Mistake?

Introducing my Malawi Hawk into the main peacock & hap display tank was one of the riskiest moves I’ve made in this hobby. These hawks were still relatively small, and adding them to an established Malawi setup full of peacocks and haps is never guaranteed to work. Aggression, territory disputes, and stress can turn a simple move into a disaster fast. In this video, I take you through: • Why this move was so risky • What signs I watched for during the introduction • How the peacocks and haps reacted • And whether the Malawi Hawk actually settled in successfully I’ll be honest — during the process, I wasn’t sure this was going to end well. But sometimes calculated risks are part of keeping African cichlids. If you keep Malawi cichlids, peacocks, haps, or are thinking about mixing species, this video shows exactly what to expect when attempting a move like this. 👇 Let me know in the comments Would you have tried this… or was this a bad idea?
