Kathe Hambrick, the curator of the African-American History Museum at Tezcuco Plantation in Ascension Parish, is John's studio guest. In the kitchen, he cooks Braised Seven Steaks and Black-Eyed Peas. He also prepares Lizzie Cookies and discusses African American culture and the history of slavery with Kathe Hambrick, the director of the River Road African American Museum at Tezcuco Plantation in Donaldsonville.
