E2 Stopped at the Border & Wildfires Close Alaska Highway!

Join Rocky Roads as we begin a three month RV adventure across the US heartland, Canada, and Alaska, as well as a four day trip up the treacherous Dempster Highway to the Arctic Ocean. In EPISODE TWO, we resolve our critical mechanical issue and head north to the border. At the border we are told that we cannot enter Canada with our existing RV contents and must return back into Montana. Additionally, we are faced with devastating wildfires that close our route up the Alaska Highway for weeks. We have to make a difficult decision to wait for reopening of the highway or completely change our itinerary and redirect to the Cassiar Highway, the only other road to Alaska. In this episode we boondock in Planet Fitness and Walmart parking lots and an overnight in a remote town visitor's center. Watch as we balance long day drives with searches for fresh water and tank dump sites along the way.
