I've been wanting to get a solar water heater for over 10 years. I previously tried making one by stringing together plastic bottles, but it wasn't very practical. Recently, I've been amazed at the heat retention capabilities of vacuum tubes. (I realized this again with the "Ecosaku-kun"!) However, I'm still worried about how to install it in areas with heavy snowfall and whether the pipes will freeze... I'd like to clear those up and finally get it installed this summer.
