I Tried Street Photography for the First Time at 54

For years, I told myself that one day I would try street photography. But, I kept putting it off, until now... At 54 years old, after years of photographing landscapes, wildlife and birds, I took a train to Birmingham with a camera and no real idea what to expect. Not because I wanted to become a street photographer, but because I wanted to find out what happens when you step outside the parts of photography that feel comfortable. What followed was a day of uncertainty, awkwardness, observation, missed opportunities and a few surprises. This video is not a street photography tutorial. It is not a guide to camera settings, techniques or approaches. Instead, it is a reflection on what it feels like to be a beginner again after years of experience in other areas of photography.
