I Stayed | My First Solo Wild Camp | Fjern Stormgrotta 1.5

This is my second attempt at my first solo wild camp on the stunningly beautiful Scottish coastline. For this trip I took out my 2026 version 2.0 of the Fjern Stormgrotta 1.5 - chosen for an exposed coastal pitch where the weather can change quickly and test gear and confidence. Turned out to be a calm night - but was worth being prepared! With the sea, Tarbat Ness Lighthouse and a long night ahead, this became less about camping and more about learning to trust myself more. If you've ever failed at something, or put something off because it didn't feel just right or perhaps you were a little nervous, then this film is for you. I hope it encourages you to try agsin too. Thanks for watching and here's to enjoying a "Warm mug in a Wild place" Claire x ‪@CatherineRedgateArt‬ ‪@xboil‬ ‪@ThermaRest‬ ‪@flextail_official‬ @ NOTE: I am pretty new to all this but here's a list of gear I am finding useful so far : Gear list: X-boil alcohol stove and Toaks 550ml pot Disco 30 Ladies Sleeping Bag Down Quint Craft Insulated foood pouch -www.quintcraft.co.uk @Catherine Redgate Art neck gaiter Gerber knife Osprey EJA 58 (was 48 but needed bigger for winter kit) Fjern Stormgrotta 1.5 version 2 tent Thermarest Neoair xlite sleep pad UL gear closed cell foam mat Jet boil folding spoon, fork and knife UCO windproof/waterproof matches Soto mini lighter blow torch Wild Skye Gear various lightweight gear pouches Flextail zero mini pump 2.0 Flextail mini lantern 2.0 Uco candle lantern and tea light lantern Salamon ladies GTX hiking boots Fjallraven Woollen Hat Passenger Hat Patagonia grid fleece top Tunnock's tea cake (safety Tunnock's)
