Here's another money-saving boat life tip! Today, we clean the bottom of the boat. Depending on the environment we’re in, we have to do this every few months, or every couple of years. Rather than hauling the boat out, or paying someone else to do the cleaning, we do it all ourselves with a homemade hookah, a.k.a. Surface-Supplied Air (SSA) device that we built for less than $300.
