THE SECRET VOTE. THE SEALED ARCHIVES. THE WAR CRIMINALS THEY HELPED ESCAPE!!!
This documentary script is produced for educational and historical purposes. All claims presented are based on peer-reviewed academic research, declassified archival documents, and official statements by the International Committee of the Red Cross itself. Where historical interpretation varies among scholars, this has been noted within the script. This video does not seek to condemn the International Committee of the Red Cross as an institution in its current form. The ICRC has itself acknowledged its wartime failures on multiple occasions — in 1995, 2005, and 2015 — and has opened its archives to independent historical research. The organization's postwar and contemporary humanitarian work exists separately from the failures documented here. The actions of individual ICRC delegates — including Friedrich Born, who saved between 11,000 and 15,000 lives in Budapest — are presented as evidence that institutional failure and individual courage can coexist within the same organization at the same moment in history. Claims marked "according to available historical accounts" or "historians disagree" reflect genuine gaps or disputes in the scholarly record. No claim in this script has been fabricated or sensationalized beyond what the documented historical record supports. The Holocaust was the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators between 1933 and 1945. Any attempt to deny, minimize, or distort this historical fact is rejected by the producers of this content. BIBLIOGRAPHY / SOURCES: Primary Academic Sources Favez, Jean-Claude.
