How to Make Flyers and Newsletters in MS PowerPoint (Ditch Publisher!)

Someone on Twitter asked me how to use Publisher to create flyers and newsletters (A5, A4, A3 and so on), as they were struggling with the software. My advice? Ditch publisher and use the familiar PowerPoint instead! These are ones you'd use for printing and/or saving/sending as PDF; for email newsletters, use something like Mailchimp instead! Why go through a big software learning curve if you already know MS ppt? It just takes a few simple steps to set up, so in this video I show you: How to set up your slides to portrait orientation and A4 How to add gridlines and line everything up nicely (to emulate Publisher) How to add content and line it all up Then it's just a case of the usual 'Save As', then choose PDF instead of the usual PPT file type. CHAPTERS: 0:00 - Intro, ditch MS Publisher 1:02 - Change orientation to portrait 2:10 - Convert to A4 2:50 - Add gridlines, snap objects to grid 4:25 - Insert flyer content, shapes, text, images 8:30 - Add extra pages, save 9:29 - Recap and close Let me know how you get on in the comments below!
