Capraro, already convicted of mafia involvement in the "Nuova Cupola" operation, was arrested in December 2024 for his alleged role as head of the Villaseta clan. Preliminary hearing judge Filippo Serio has now acquitted all the defendants. The defense team included lawyers Salvatore Pennica, Salvatore Cusumano, Teresa Alba Raguccia, and Salvatore Virgone.
