Forgotten Heroes of Band of Brothers: The Battle of Nuenen | September 1944

On 20 September 1944, the Battle of Nuenen begun, which saw British and American troops fighting side-by-side to liberate the town from German occupation. Unfortunately, the battle has since been inaccurately depicted in many books and films, including the best-selling miniseries called Band of Brothers. In today's video, I reveal what exactly unfolded around the town of Nuenen on that September day, focusing predominantly on the British Army's role and paying tribute to Corporal Ralph Stothard and Trooper Basil Nicholls who were Killed in Action during the fighting there; and who have since been forgotten in 99% of publications - hence the reasoning for the title of the video.
