Our First Canada Day as a Family 🇨🇦 | Cheering for Canada

Our first Canada Day as a family of three. 🇨🇦 This week was all about spending time with the people who have become family to us here in Canada. We kicked things off with our Ninang and Ninong in Scarborough, where we enjoyed an afternoon full of Filipino food, laughs, and plenty of unforgettable moments. Kiann kept everyone entertained: from dancing with Ninang to showing off his newest tricks, including mano po and a proper handshake. A few days later, we spent the afternoon with Ninang Janine and Tito Rittin over an amazing home-cooked lunch. We also watched Canada's FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match together — Kiann's very first World Cup as our little Canadian! The result wasn't what we hoped for, but it was still a proud moment to cheer for Team Canada and see them make history. We wrapped up the day with Jenga, NBA 2K, great conversations, and even went home with fresh basil and cilantro from Janine's garden. Another long weekend we'll always remember.
