Leaky-Gut-Syndrom - Durchlässiger Darm: Kenne die Symptome und stärke Deine Darmgesundheit!

Leaky gut syndrome has become increasingly well-known in recent years. It is believed that the impaired barrier function of the intestinal mucosa is responsible for undigested food particles, pollutants, or bacteria entering the bloodstream. This can promote inflammation and impair nutrient absorption in the intestine. Treatment and Prevention of Leaky Gut #leakygut #guthealth #medicine #health What is Leaky Gut? Normally, the intestinal mucosa forms a selective barrier that allows nutrients into the blood while keeping harmful substances or pathogens out. However, with Leaky Gut, this barrier becomes more permeable. This allows substances that should not normally enter the blood to pass through the intestine and activate the immune system. This can lead to inflammation and cause many health problems. Causes of a Leaky Gut Although the exact causes of Leaky Gut Syndrome are not clearly understood, there are certain factors that influence the permeability of the intestinal mucosa. An unhealthy diet, especially high consumption of sugar, alcohol, and highly processed foods, can harm intestinal health. Stress, especially chronic stress, is also an important factor. Infections caused by bacteria, viruses, or parasites, as well as medications such as antibiotics or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen), can also compromise the intestinal barrier. An imbalance in the intestinal microbiome, known as intestinal dysbiosis, is another possible cause. Symptoms and Consequences of Leaky Gut Syndrome The symptoms of leaky gut are diverse and often nonspecific. They range from chronic fatigue and digestive problems such as bloating or diarrhea to skin problems such as acne or rosacea. Food intolerances and psychological problems are also suspected of being related to a leaky gut. In the long term, leaky gut syndrome can potentially contribute to serious conditions such as inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., Crohn's disease), autoimmune diseases (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis), and even cardiovascular disease.
