Videoblogueando con Javiera Mena en Lima, Perú

http://lahabitaciondehenryspencer.com/ Just a few hours after her arrival in Lima, I went to Javiera Mena's hotel and gave her a video camera to record a conversation for this column. The celebrated Chilean singer-songwriter is visiting our city to give a concert this Thursday the 18th at the Vocé nightclub, where she will present songs from her album Esquemas Juveniles, released in 2006. As part of the independent rock scene in Santiago, Chile, Javiera Mena began playing in 2001, and now, at only 25 years old, she has become a pop icon. Before embarking on her solo career, she formed an electropop duo called Prissa (formerly of Televisa) with Francisca Villela, with whom she released the album Ni Tu Ni Yo in 2006. After releasing her first album, Esquemas Juveniles (released in Chile by Quemasucabeza, in Argentina by Índice Virgen, and in Mexico by EMI), Javiera Mena rose to fame. She is currently working on recording her second album with Cristián Heyne, the respected Chilean producer. More videos at http://lahabitaciondehenryspencer.com/
