Circular Sock Machine E Wrap Cast-On

Used by hand knitters ("backwards loop") and flatbed knitters, the e-wrap cast on is old as the hills. Here you'll see how to do this easy and versatile cast-on with both a slotted and a non slotted yarn carrier. I show all 60 needles being cast on in the first part, and a variation -- where I have removed every 4th needle -- in the second part. From an e-wrap cast-on you can transition easily to stockinette, or transfer some stitches to a ribbing pattern, e.g. 2x2. Mock ribbing is easy to start using this cast-on -- no transferring of stitches!
