Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designer
Jane L. Carroll, senior lecturer of art history and Darrin McMahon, the Mary Brinsmead Wheelock Professor of History provided commentary on the Michelangelo exhibition Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designer at the MET at the Dartmouth on Location event on January 20. An expert on Renaissance art, Professor Carroll discussed the collection and the impact that Michelangelo’s work has had on the Western canon. Professor McMahon, who works on the history of genius, discussed Michelangelo’s reception as a genius figure.
