THE PERFECT PARTNER #ThePerfectPartner #LegionManual According to the Legion's criteria, a perfect legionary is one who faithfully complies with the regulations in all respects, and not simply one whose efforts are crowned with some visible triumph or sweetened by consolation. The more one adheres to the Legionary system, the more one is a partner of the Legion. Spiritual directors and praesidia presidents are urged to observe this concept of the true partner themselves and frequently remind other legionaries, because it constitutes an ideal attainable by all—unlike the happy outcome or the consolation it brings. For only by being deeply attuned to it can the Legionaries bear with joy the monotony, the thankless task, real or imagined failure, and so many other obstacles that, otherwise, would irrevocably end even the most hopeful beginnings of their apostolic work.
