KN6: Sir David Jack: His Contributions to Respiratory Pharmacology
Clive Page is a Professor of Pharmacology and Director of The Pulmonary Pharmacology Unit at King’s College London. In this keynote lecture, he highlights the achievements and contributions to respiratory pharmacology made by the late Sir David Jack, Head of Research and Development at Glaxo 1878 - 1987. Jack was known for heading the research team which developed Beclometasone in 1962 and Salbutamol 1966, paving the way for more modern treatments, including the first-in-class inhaled medicine for COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Ensifentrine.
