Mahesha ji would draw the participants into the spirit of satsang in the early mornings and late evenings. Rest of the day, some of us sat with him and recorded new and old songs from his very deep repertoire. Mahesha ji uncovered some forgotten gems in the course of these recordings, and we were witness to how the oral traditions of song are held not in diaries but in the bodies of the singers, tapped through collective nudging and recall, and rediscovered with a sense of joy and wonder.
